Of Florin Granwehr's early sculptural works, a few are still in the artist's estate.Wire sculptures (models)
The small sculptures made of wires soldered together are to be understood as a preliminary stage of the spatial realization of the geometric themes. Florin Granwehr soldered them together by hand with round wires or angular rods in order to test the spatial effect of his ideas.Format: small sculptures with dimensions up to about 60 cm. Material: various metal rods, solder, partially sprayed white.
Small-sized wooden models (1980-1995)
In the estate there are a large number of wooden models, which were created between 1980 and probably 1995. They often belong to larger series with titles such as "Angulon", "Trimanent", or similar, but function in each case as independent works. For the sake of clarity, all sculptures with dimensions up to 60 cm are summarized here. Granwehr had them made by a model maker.Format: Small sculptures with dimensions up to 60 cm.
Material and technique: Wood, mostly sprayed white (RAL 9016).
Medium size wooden models (1980-1995)
The estate contains a large number of wooden models created between 1980 and probably 1995.
